Ms. Sarah Sutter
Ms. Sarah Sutter teaches the lens & technology based media and an occasional ceramics class. She received MFA  at the Art Institute of Boston in June 2006, and is currently working on her MEd in Instructional Technology at UMaine.  Ms. Sutter also teaches Photo 101, Intro to Digital Imaging and Photoshop 1 at the University of Maine at Augusta.  Ms. Sutter was selected to attend Google Teacher Academy in November 2008, thus becoming a Google Certified Teacher.  She was awarded a Fund for Teachers grant in 2007 to attend the Maine Media Workshops and Anderson Ranch over the summer.  Ms. Sutter  was named Technology Educator of the Year by ACTEM for 2004-05.  She received two SEED Developer grants in 2003-2004, following her experience as a developer in 2001. Ms. Sutter was also awarded Fullbright Memorial Fund fellowship to spend three weeks in Japan in November 2002.

Mr. Tom Block, Art Dept. Chair

Mr. Tom Block is the cornerstone (and chief architect) of the fabulous art program here at Wiscasset High School. Mr. Block is the Department Chair for the Fine Arts Department.
Mr. Block illustrated and published a children's book this fall, Buzzy and the Giant Pumpkin, which can be found in area bookstores.
Mr. Block is a founding member of the Turnstone Initiative for the Arts in Walpole, and is a member of the Pemaquid Art Association.  He exhibits his painting and drawing regularly in the mid-coast Maine area.
Mr. Block was the 2001-2002 Maine Art Teacher of the Year  as voted by the Maine Art Educators Association. He represented the state at the national convention in Miami in March 2002.
